A MLM Lead System

Lesson 6

Finally, it's time to learn what a MLM lead system is. Firstly, I want to say well done on reaching this final lesson. I have covered a substantial amount of information that will change the way you do business as a network marketer.

Up until now you may have practiced some of the sales approaches and techniques that were taught earlier, which are a whole lot more effective than the traditional methods used by many fellow network marketers.

As I said in a previous lesson, to truly attract a flow of prospects to your products or opportunity, you need to have an effective marketing system.

Here, I will cover the basics of what a marketing system is and the main principles behind one.

What is a MLM Lead System?

Before we get into it, I must remind you that the purpose of marketing is to promote a good or service.

A good MLM lead system will attract prospects to you and what you are selling. However, there are certain ways to go about this. You don’t want to end up pitching people on what you are trying to sell.

Here are the four things you want an effective MLM lead system to do for you:

  1. Attract and bring prospects to you.
  2. Act as a filter for providing interested prospects only.
  3. Educate your prospects so they become pre-sold on the good or service you are providing.
  4. Create a cash flow prior to making sales on your main products or services.

All of this may sound a bit too much for you now, but it is definitely achievable if you are shown how to do it right.

For now, I am going to touch on all four of these aspects just to give you a little more understanding of what an MLM lead system should be able to do for you.

Attract Prospects to Your MLM Lead System

Firstly, you have to be able to attract prospects and bring them into your marketing pipeline. How do you do this exactly?

Well there are many ways to do it, but remember you have to be targeting a specific audience of individuals.

Lessons four and five tell you what kind of content to write about to do this, so if you need to, quickly take a detour back there for a short recap.

Now, once you have decided on your target market, the next stage is to start producing information which will address their needs and put you in a position to offer more information.

This will then allow you to recommend a product that provides a solution.

How do you put that information out there and advertise it?

You can do this both online and off-line, both have their advantages and disadvantages, but here are some ways to advertise to your audience.

  • Newspaper ads
  • Participate in online forums
  • Ezine ads
  • Viral marketing
  • Online pay per click advertising
  • Offline and online Articles
  • Banner advertising
  • Blogs
  • Emails and direct mailing
  • Booths at events
  • Flyers
  • Radio ads
  • Website

These are all ideas you can use to attract people to the entrance of your marketing pipeline.

Of coarse you don’t have to specialize in them all, if want to just focus on one or two methods that’s fine. I actually recommend starting with just a couple.

My favorite out of this bunch is the last item on the list. By having a website you have full control and your marketing potential is virtually infinite!

When you mention creating a website to someone, it just sounds so darn intimidating.

Right now, if I said to you to go off and make a website on your selected niche, you probably wouldn’t have the slightest clue on how to do so and where to start.

Well that’s OK, I felt the same way when I decided that I needed to create my own website.

I found a very easy and extremely effective step by step program that showed me exactly how to do it, but that’s a story that I will save for another time.

To get your marketing pipeline traffic counter ticking over you need to decide on which of the above methods to use.

If you want to start by using off-line methods that’s more than OK, but ultimately, you want to aim to get online because this opens your pipeline up to the whole entire world!

Your MLM Lead System Needs to Be a Filter

You are probably well aware by now that spending time with people who aren’t interested in your product can be very time consuming and exhausting.

You can spend hours and hours with prospects that at the end of the day aren’t even going to purchase a single thing.

This is where a MLM lead system will show its true value.

By filtering out the time wasters, you will be able to spend your time with the serious go getters who either want to buy your product or want to build a business with you.

I’m sure you don’t want to go back to pouring truck loads of time and effort into prospects that aren’t going to yield any profits.

This is why you need to start taking action and become much more effective with the use of your time as a network marketer.

Again, the best thing to do is to begin developing information on your product that will attract people.

Educate Your Prospects Using Your MLM Lead System

The high quality information you provide to your target market basically acts as the wire mesh and strainer in your marketing filter.

By giving prospects a sequence of information they will either decide to carry on along the pipeline by responding to your content, settle for a cheaper product or fall out of the pipeline all together.

That’s OK because that means they weren’t very interested in the first place.

But hey, you never know, they may be back later or tell someone else about what you are providing.

The feature of your filter also works greatly in your favor when it comes to facing rejection – you don’t have to face very much at all, it does the job for you.

To sum things up here, you need to educate your prospects continuously once they enter your MLM lead system. This will keep pulling, not pushing them through to your sales section.

Get your MLM Lead System to Produce an Income

Along the length of your MLM lead system there should be pathways that your prospects will be able to take so that you are able to make an income from them.

This could be a whole range of things depending if you are off-line or online.

In an off-line approach you may generate a side income for referring people to local health shops when they present your flyer that has a small discount on them.

Then you will be paid your ‘finders fee’ for finding a customer for the retail shop.

If you are online, things are a lot easier and more prosperous. You may implement affiliate links which in a way are same as a ‘finders fee’ where you earn commissions.

Your exposure to visitors will be a lot higher compared to doing it off-line which is why you want to aim to doing business online.

Hopefully by now you can see how important MLM lead systems are to the success of your network marketing business.

If you want to reach the top of that compensation plan and earn additional income that is outside of your network marketing company then this is the way to go.

Please feel free to fire any questions my way as I’m sure you have some niggling away in your head.
